As a member of one of ERSGA’s retirement plans, you’ve already taken an important first step in securing your financial security in retirement. But what about the financial security of your loved ones? Keeping your beneficiary information current ensures benefits from the retirement plans are paid in accordance with your wishes in the event of your death.

You are always 100% vested in the contributions you make to the retirement systems, and the interest credited to those contributions. In the event of your death, your beneficiary(ies) will receive at least a refund of your contributions with interest. In some situations, your named beneficiary(ies) may be entitled to a monthly benefit for their lifetime.

To review or update your current pension beneficiary designations, or contact information for your beneficiary(ies), log in to your ERSGA account using the Log In button at the top of any page on our website at ers.ga.gov. 

Members with a Peach State Reserves (PSR) 401(k) or 457 account can review or update beneficiaries at gabreeze.ga.gov.
